The Azerbaijan State Translation Centre has held the event dedicated to summing up the year 2023.

Afaq Masud, the Board Chair of the Azerbaijan State Translation Centre and the People’s Writer, opened the ceremony with an introductory speech and spoke about the work done over the year, the publications produced by the Centre in the field of language and translation, and the successfully realized international projects.

At the end of the event, employees of the Centre were presented with awards. Etimad Bashkechid, the writer and translator, Mahir N. Garayev, the poet-translator, Salam Sarvan, the poet-translator, Ilgar Alfi, the writer and translator, Nariman Abdulrahmanli, the writer and translator, for their special contribution to literary translation, as well as Pusta Akhundova, the Head of the Office for International Relations and Organization of Translation Activities, Agil Amrahov, the Head of the Office for Publication and Polygraphy, Nazakat Aghayeva and Kamala Alakbarova, the employees of the Organization of Translation Activities Department, for the excellent work performed during the year, were awarded with special awards.
