Qismat’s Verses on Austrian Portal

“Gedichtesammlung.net”, the popular Austrian portal, has published the poems “Love is Blind as Vanga”, “Melancholy of the Night” and “Forgiveness” by Qismat, a young talented poet, as part of the AzSTC’s project “Azerbaijan’s Latest Literature.”
The translators of the verses into German, preceded by the information about the creativity of the poet, are Andreas Criber, the notable Austrian scientist-philologist, and Maryam Samadova, the German language specialist.
It is worth noting that the portal, which has been launched since 2006, regularly publishes works by the most talented literary youth throughout the world.
Qismat

· was born in Baku in 1986;
· graduated from the Department of Journalism of the Odlar Yurdu University;
· is the author of the poetry books “Vitrine”, “Sadness of Megapolis”, “ABC of the Turtledove” and the book of essays “The History of Future.”
· has translated books “Lectures on Russian Literature” by Vladimir Nabokov, “The Letter Sent by a Seagull” by Arkadi Suchevyanu into Azerbaijani.

Victoria Romero: Joint Projects of the Centre and Latin American Embassies Ought To Be Continued
On September 26, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of Mexico to Azerbaijan, Mrs. Victoria Romero, visited the State Translation Centre. During the meeting, the exchange of views took place on the translation and publication projects implemented by the Centre in relation to the promotion of Latin American literature in Azerbaijan and the expansion of the Azerbaijani-Mexican literary and cultural ties.
