Book Exhibition Dedicated to the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” Launched

A book exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of modern Azerbaijan, the world-famous political figure, was held in the central Sabir Garden of Baku on June 13-15 hosted by ADTM Translation Agency.
During the exhibition, which aimed to instill love for books and reading and to develop the reader’s taste, local and foreign editions, samples of world literature, classic and modern Azerbaijan literature, children’s literature and encyclopaedias, dictionaries and glossaries prepared and published in various periods by the Azerbaijan State Translation Centre were exhibited and sold at a discount. Besides, there were arranged meetings and book signings with notable Azerbaijani writers and poets, such as Saday Budaqly, Ilqar Alfioglu, Nariman Abdulrahmanli, Mahir N. Garayev, Rabiqa Nazimgizi, Etimad Bashkechid, and Salam Sarvan.
