Mustafa Abdel Halim: "We are interested in promoting Sudanese literature in Azerbaijan"
Mustafa Abdel Halim, the Charge d'Affaires of the Republic of Sudan in Azerbaijan, visited the State Translation Centre the other day. At the meeting attended by Pusta Akhundova, the Head of the Office for International Relations and Organization of Translation Activities of the AzSTC, views were exchanged on the translation and publication of Sudanese literature into Azerbaijani and the work to be done in the direction of the establishment and development of inter-country literary relations. The importance of conveying the literary heritage of Sudan's well-known prose writers and poets, including the outstanding Sudanese writer Al-Tayyib Salih, to the Azerbaijani reader was emphasized, and the prospects of cooperation projects to be implemented in this direction were discussed.
