Anthology of Swedish Prose for the First Time in Azerbaijani

An Anthology of Swedish Prose, a new edition including the selected samples from Swedish Literature, which has rich literary traditions, has been published by the Azerbaijan State Translation Centre (AzSTC).

The book includes works by world famous Swedish writers and contemporary authors, such as August Strindberg, Ernst Ahlgren, Selma Lagerlöf, Verner von Heidenstam, Per Hallström, Hjalmar Söderberg, Albert Engström, Hjalmar Bergman, Dan Anderson, Per Lagerkvist, Vilhelm Moberg, Eyvind Johnson, Harry Martinson, Ludvig Nordström, Artur Lundkvist,  Astrid Lindgren, Ingmar Bergman, Stig Dagerman, Thomas Tranströmer, Ulf Stark, Margareta Ekström, Eva Gabrielsson, Niklas Rådström, Stig Larsson, Åke Edwardson, Inger Edelfeldt, Tove Alsterdal, Cecilia Davidson and Mölker Inge Garay.

The project leader of the edition is Afaq Masud, the People’s Writer of Azerbaijan, the author of the foreword is Etimad Bashkechid, the notable writer, and the authors of the translation are Saday Budagli, Nariman Abdulrahmanli, Etimad Bashkechid, Bahlul Abbasov, Ilgar Alfi, Mahir Garayev, Samad Garachop, Rabiga Nazimgizi, Shafiga Shafa, Seljan Mammadli, the masters of literary translation. The editor is Mahir Garayev.
