AzTC’s New Publication: “Zafar ve Ilgım”
The Translation Centre under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic (AzTC) has translated and published the book Zafar ve Ilgım (Triumph & Illusion) by Valeri Ivanov-Taganski, a notable Russian writer.
The book highlights the history of Taganka, a popular theatre in Moscow, its founder Yuri Lyubimov and other notable members of Lyubimov's troupe, such as Valery Zolotukhin and Vladimir Vysotsky, who faced ideological challenges under Soviet rule, the impact of cultural stagnation on the troupe, as well as the theatre’s achievements and split confirmed in written form.
The translator of the collected letters is Etimad Başkeçid, and the editor is Ayyub Qiyas.
