New Argentinian Ambassador Visits AzSTC

The Azerbaijan State Translation Centre (AzSTC) on Friday received a visit from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Argentine Sergio Perez Gunella to Azerbaijan and Cultural Counsellor of the Embassy Eduardo Raul.

The meeting focused on the publishing projects tailored to boost literary ties between Azerbaijan and Argentine, such as the Azerbaijani versions of the works from Argentine - The Invention of Morel by Adolfo Bioy Casares, Dailan Kifki by María Elena Walsh and A Little Stroke of Luck (Una suerte pequeña) by Claudia Piñeiro, discussing future projects and events to promote Argentine literature in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani literature in Argentine.   

In conclusion, the guest was donated copies of Khazar literary magazine (issued four-annually), which has translated and published works of popular Argentinian authors such as Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortázar, Ernesto Sábato, Álvaro Yunque, Roberto Arlt since the early 1990's.
