Saday Budagly's A Conversation on the Way Over Issued

The Translation Centre under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic (AzTC) has published the book "A Conversation on the Way Over" by notable writer, translator Saday Budagly, who celebrates turning sixty this week.   

The book includes the novel "Injury", as well as short stories written in the 90s and 2000s

Saday Budagly was born in 1955.

He is a graduate from Maxim Gorky's Literature Institute in Moscow. 

His books were published in Azerbaijani and Russian in the 90s in Moscow and Baku. He won the Maksim Gorki All-Union Prize for his book "The Winning".

He is a Laureate of the Moscow weekly "Nedelya" magazine.

In 1982, he was awarded a prize for "Best Story of the Year" created by "Drujba Narodov".

In 2009, he was awarded a prize "Golden pen" of the Ministry of Culture of the Azerbaijan Republic.  

His works have been translated into English, Japanese, Lithuanian, Turkish and other languages.

Budagly has translated works by M. Bulgakov, Y.Kawabata, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Mario V. Llosa, Juan Carlos Onetti, Camilo José Cela, and Miguel Delibes. 

"A Conversation on the Way Over" is his first book published in Latin graphic.
