Ashig Alasgar in Belarus Literary Portal
The Belarus-based crowd-pleasing literary portal “Sozvuçhie.by” has posted in Russian verses by Ashig Alasgar, an Azerbaijani mystic troubadour (Ashik) and highly regarded poet of Azerbaijani folk songs to mark his 200th birth anniversary. This initiative is part of the AzSTC-pioneered project - Azerbaijani Literature in a Virtual World - to promote national literature worldwide. The portal also provides detailed information on the poet.
The poems were added in the section of the site “Mirror of Folk Wisdom” particularly designed to popularize classical Azerbaijani poetry.
The translator is Vladimir Kafarov.
