AzTC Representatives Attend the 23rd Minsk International Book Fair

Representatives from the Translation Centre under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic (AzTC) are taking part in the 23rd Minsk International Book Fair held on 9-14 February.

On February 12, AzTC representatives held a presentation on the activities done within the framework of the exhibition as well as arranged an event on developing the literary   relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus. A video-rolling about the AzTC was demonstrated on the main screen at the exhibition salon, and then a press conference was held.

The event was attended by representatives of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Belarus, the Centre of Azerbaijan Culture, the Azerbaijani diaspora in Minsk, famous writers and publishers of Belarus and Russia.

Poems were read in Azerbaijani and Belarus, national songs and dances of the two countries were performed. At the conclusion, Alexander Karlyukevich, Director of the "Star" Publishing House of the Ministry of information of Belarus and Yashar Aliyev, Head of Administration of AzTC  conducted discussions on future joint projects agreements have been signed.

On February 11,  Yashar Aliyev and Etimad Bashkechid,a s well as participants from  Germany, Russia, Turkey, Israel and other countries took part in the seminar "Writer and Time" organized in the framework of the International Literary Symposium. Representatives of the AzTC made speech on the topic "Actuality of the Translation Industry and Development of Literary Relations".
