Georgian -Based Literary Portal Shares a Piece of Azerbaijani Literature
1 TV. Eleqtroliti has posted poet-writer Zahid Sarytorpag’s novel Ash in Georgian translation, as part of the AzSTC project titled “Azerbaijani Literature in a Virtual World”.
Launched in 2017, 1 TV. Eleqtroliti is a monthly e-portal of the Georgian Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. The portal gives preference mainly to fiction (prose, poetry and plays) including critical and publicity material. Georgian readers have the opportunity to access the electronic version of pieces by internationally renowned authors, such as Omar Khayyam, Jalaluddin Rumi, Paul Verlaine, Arthur Rimbaud, Philip K. Dick, Thomas Wolfe, Rudolph Lapert, John Chivers, Anne Enright, Herta Müller, Hans Magnus Enzensberger, Olga Tokarchuk, Georges Brassens, Peter Handke, Lucy Fletcher, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Jacques Brel, Lev Rubinstein, John Maxwell, Norbert Hummelt, Susan Sontag and Franz Holler.
The hub’s chief editor is renowned author Sadiman Shamanadze, who has managed to reach out to the growing readership across Georgia.
