The Azerbaijan Translation Centre (AzTC) on Thursday received a visit from H.E. Mr. Dan Iancu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Azerbaijan, and his wife, Mrs. Mihaela Iancu, for a roundtable discussion with its Director Afag Masud.
The sides focused on perspectives to expand literary and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Romania and AzTC’s related projects, including works by famous Romanian writers such as Eugène Ionesco, Mircha Kerteresku, to name just a few, whose works were translated and published into Azerbaijani by AzTC over time. The sides also discussed the project to publish in Romania the Anthology of Modern Azerbaijan Literature already translated into multiple languages as well as to publish a collection of books in Azerbaijan to include works by Romanian writers and poets.
